Ingredients:
1 1/2 C butter, softened
2 C white sugar
2 C applesauce + 2 t baking powder, blended
1 t vanilla
5 C flour
2 t baking powder
1 t salt
*Best with Betty Crocker Cookie Icing

Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar until smooth.
Beat in applesauce mixture and vanilla.
Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cover and chill dough at least 1.5 hours or overnight.
Pre-heat oven to 400F
Roll out dough onto parchment paper cut to fit baking sheet. Roll to 1/4in thickness.
Cut shapes and pull away excess dough for re-rolling.
Bake 7.5 mins.
Cool completely on cookie rack. Repeat until all dough is used.
Decorate and serve.
