Ingredients:

1 T liquid aminos or soy sauce

2 t lime juice

1 T chili powder

1 ½ t cumin

1 t salt

1 t pepper

½ t paprika

¼ t garlic powder

¼ t onion powder

â…› t cayenne

¼ t oregano

1 small can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed

taco shells (this recipe will fill about 12 hard taco shells)

 

Toppings:

vegan sour cream (see recipe under sauces)

guacamole

2 tomatoes, diced

lettuce

2 small cans sliced black olives

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400.  Whisk everything but chickpeas in a bowl then add chickpeas to coat.  Transfer to a cookie sheet.  Bake for 20 minutes.

 

Spoon into taco shells and top with desired ingredients (tomatoes, vegan sour cream, olives, lettuce, guacamole).  Also try double deckers.
